ITEM #5: MIDDLE SCHOOL WRITER/READER WORKSHOP
Cynthia Hartwig will lead a group of up to 5 middle school and teen agers in 3 writing-and-reading group sessions. Your child will write with Cynthia, a novelist, using a series of writing prompts and will learn how easy and fun it is to spin out their own stories. The group will meet 3 times for 1.5 hours at Cynthia house in Madrona with snacks included.. Sessions will be scheduled to fit the kids' busy calendars. We'll also read 3 young-adult books to aid our discussion and to use as writing models: Starbird Murphy on the Outside, Code Name Verity, and The Fault In Our Stars.
